February 10, 2014

Today it is 36 and raining.  (In other words, it's typical Seattle area winter weather.) We will complete the first week's data on our bar graph.  What is your weather like right now?

  1. Today in Paramus, NJ it is cold and gray. Our high temperature was 29 degrees. Would you believe that they are predicting another snowstorm for Wednesday into Thursday night?!? Another big storm with the possibility of 1-2 feet of snow! We will keep you posted on the name of this storm. We are hoping it will be cool like Nemo was last year.

  2. The snowstorm coming on Wednesday is called Pax. Pax is the Roman Goddess of peace; She urges us to keep harmony among one another as a sacred commodity throughout the year. On coins, Pax appears youthful and often bears an olive branch to extend the hand of truce or a cornucopia, indicating that there is an abundance of peace for those who truly seek it.

We think that our two classes should come up with new names for next years winter storms. Not loving the names chosen this year.
