Early Spring?

Yesterday in Snohomish, not far from where we live, the Groundfrog predicted an early spring.  Here is the link to the article in the Everett Herald.

The Groundhog Predicts...

This morning Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow and predicted we would have early spring weather.

Right now at Terrace Park, it is 37.5 and foggy.

Today both fourth grade classes got together to start the Groundhog Predictions project. 

Twenty-eight people said they didn't think a Groundhog could predict the weather, but fourteen people said he could.

Twenty-three people think we will continue to have winter weather.  Nineteen people think will will have early spring weather.

One Week Away

One week from today our fourth graders will begin sharing our weather observations and comparing them with the groundhog's predictions.  Do you think a groundhog can predict the weather?

Do you think we will have six more weeks of winter weather or six more weeks of spring weather?  If you post, please tell us where you are from and what the weather is like where you are.
