Spring...Finally

Although we reached the first day of spring this week, our area continued to have some snow.  It didn't usually stick.  The last couple of days we have had more sunshine. 

Thank you to the classes who participated with us.  We hope to see you again next year.

Our Conclusion

The groundhog predicted that we would have six more weeks of winter weather.  Most of us agreed with him.

We have had weather more typical of winter than spring.  The first week we had days in the 50s, but the rest of the time we have had 30s and 40s and rain and snow.

Our data confirms our predictions.

Today's weather -- March 15, 2012

Right now it is 48 degrees.  It has been raining hard all night and morning.  We REALLY want to go outside for recess.

Right now it is 34 degrees.  A few minutes ago, it was snowing and raining.

Right now at Terrace Park it is 38 degrees.  We are expecting a high of 44 degrees and showers today.
